NTT’s ARCSTAR Managed Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) service is a cell-relay network capable of carrying multiple logical circuits on a single connection, for high-speed, large volume, simultaneous communications. This makes it ideal for integrating all voice, data and video traffic onto a converged network for optimum bandwidth use.

Features and benefits

  • Diverse port speeds (1.5, 2, 34, 45 and 155 Mbps)
  • Control link speed and traffic patterns to support steady (CBR), bursty (VBR) or unpredictable (UBR) data streams
  • Permanent Virtual Circuits (PVCs) with pre-registered parties to ensure security
  • Efficient capacity allocation and smart bandwidth settings for dramatically reducing communication costs

Coverage

Available in 29 countries (as of April 2007).
